In this ‘one of a kind’ workshop, our educators Meg Claire and Renata join forces in showing you how to make these beautiful beaded sterling silver fringe earrings.

Over two Saturdays you will be able to learn Silversmithing & Beading techniques from both of these talented ladies.

In the first part of the workshop, Renata will show you how to
⦿ reticulate silver plate to create unique textures using fire
⦿ granulate sterling silver wire
⦿ use silversmithing tools such as jewellers saw frame, micro motor, files and a blow torch

Armed with these techniques you will be able to create your own sterling silver earring hooks and a ‘lotus’ inspired earring drop to which to attach the beautiful strands of beads.

In the second part of this exciting workshop, Meg will teach you
⦿ to create brick stitch
⦿ how to make a beaded fringe

At the end of the workshop you will take home a unique pair of sterling silver earrings with a beautiful beaded fringe and some good memories.

Materials used: a big eye needle, nymo thread, Japanese myuki Delica beads, crystal rondelles and drop beads
